What Are Home Care Packages?

Government funded packages are available to those assessed as being eligible for the Home Care Packages (HCP) program.

Key Points on Home Care Packages:

  • The Home Care Packages (HCP) program provides support for people with more complex needs to enable them to continue living at home.
  • HCP is based on choice. The packages allow you to choose your preferred range of services, ensuring they meet your individual needs. 
  • HCP services include; respite, transport, meal services, clinical and nursing support, equipment, social support, assistance at home and personal care
  • Your local Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) member will guide you through the assessment process to determine your eligibility for a package

  • You can request for an ACAT member to refer you to a Gilgandra Shire Council Home Care Provider
