Patricia (Pat) Foran has been a valued member of the Gilgandra Lifestyles volunteer crew for over 25 years. 

Over her 25 years, Pat has had a number of volunteer roles within our community including;

  • Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre
  • Christian Bookshop
  • Cooee Lodge Hostel

Pat loves volunteering at Cooee Lodge Hostel in particular (you can find her doing such things as hand care or afternoon tea) as many of the residents are now her friends and she likes getting to know the other people there. She also finds her time at the Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre really rewarding. In particular she likes getting to meet all the interesting people coming through and learning from them.

When she is not volunteering, Pat really enjoys playing bridge. She travels all over the local area for it! Beyond this her passions include playing the piano and the organ for her church, reading, doing crosswords and spending lots of time with her family. 

Reflecting her love of helping those in need, Pat believe that people should volunteer as "our community needs us. Volunteering helps the town, without volunteers a number of our services wouldn't be able to operate."
